Circuit switching control in the Nexo System

Wyróżnienie na Międzynarodowej Wystawie Wynalazków i Innowacji 2010

Engineers from Nexwell company developed another innovative feature which have not counterpart in other smart homes systems.

Continuous monitoring of circuit switching devices is a new feature, in which the executive part is relay, but it is not blind or lighting circuit (the case in which the system is not directly seen by the user).

A typical example of such circuits is control of:

  • heating solenoid valves
  • sprinkler solenoid (which generally operate in the early morning)
  • circulation pumps,
  • heating mats,
  • air flow dampers,
  • circuits powering various appliances,
  • other.

After consulting with installation companies, the relay drivers local inputs working at TUKAN bus controller, has been programed.

From September 2010 they have built-in ability to check whether the task switching on the relay system translates into actual response of the receiver as a continuous feedback signal.

The principle of this function in the figure below.

Circuit switching control in the Nexo System

If the switch on circuit will not receive feedback signal, it is possible to communicate an error (eg via text message) to homeowner or company who installed and maintains the Nexo system. This is crucial for those responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting.
Thanks to use this functionality in places such hotels, about possible fault manager learns from LCD panel not from disgruntled guests.

Information is not everything - Nexo system can itself take remedial action in the absence of a physical confirmation of the operation. This translates into an increase overall capacity in intelligent building devices control and security of functions automation without the participation and control of user.

Circuit Control is in a continuous manner, the system controls not only the moment of switching on the receiver, but also its work. In the settings we have to choose the ranges 0.5 s to 15 s delay to the correct response controlled element.
