What is TUKAN

It’s a communication standard developed by Nexwell for wiring reduction. A network of TUKAN utilities requires just two wires – power supply and communication. This simplification reflects both in low prices and shortened installation time.

TUKAN network elements:

TUKAN Bus controller card

TUKAN Bus controller card: responsible for Nexo main unit and executive modules communication. One card manages up to 32 executive modules.

Executive modules

Executive modules: these are the terminal network devices installed in recessed or on-wall casings. Every module is individually addressed with address jumpers. Nexwell offers a set of executive modules:

Wiring

Wiring: the TUKAN network runs in a main line topology with the utilities connected by two wires (power supply and communication).

TUKAN network is fully integrated with Nexo – it manages tasks with a schedule, remote control, SMS, logic, LCD Touchscreen Panel etc. The wire network communicates with the executive modules via symmetric current interface, which ensures high resistance to external interference and increases the network’s span (up to 500 meters).
